Patch Tuesday April 2021: lots of security blossoms from all the blooming software companies.
Apple Flowerets
Apple released most of their updates on the 26th this month. Lots of important security updates were buried beneath the rosy marketing of the iTags and new privacy feature in iOS 14.5 (which is turned on by default in settings once installed).
Two big security updates for macOS Catalina and Big Sur should be installed as soon as possible.
If you’re interested in the new feature of unlocking your phone with your watch, see my blog here.

Microsoft Magnolias
Microsoft released updates to fix 110 security holes on the 13th. Several of these security problems related to Microsoft Exchange server (more Hafnium hangover). They do not affect Office 365 Exchange email users.
Office 365 software Excel and Word received security updates. You will need to be logged into your Office 365 account in Office to get the update. I wish Microsoft would fix the problem where you get logged out of Office 365 in the software.
Also Windows 10 and the Edge browser require security updates.
Adobe Aster
Light month for Adobe security. No updates for Acrobat or Acrobat Reader. Security updates for PhotoShop, Digital Editions and RoboHelp.
