I have a system to organize and safely pack all the cables into my bag. First I get a large Ziploc bag. You want a large bag so can wriggle cables into the suitcase. Most importantly I label the bag with the contents the night before travelling. This way I have think about what tech am I taking. And I have a list of contents to check when packing to go home.

Most people will remember their phone changer. But what about your smart watch charger? Earbuds? Taking a tablet? Or if you’re taking the usual working vacation of a small business owner, your laptop charger?

Got power?

We just saw a ton of flight delays with the Crowdstrike bad update. You might get delayed at the airport or worse sitting on a plane stuck on the tarmac. It’s a good idea to pack a portable power charger.

What to look for in a power charger? Does it have the ports you need? USB-C? Old fashioned USB? Is the portable charger designed for little devices (phones, earbuds) or can it charge your laptop.

PC Mag just did a review of the best portable power chargers. Their prices are American dollars and some items might not be available in Canada. But they provide a good overview for what to look for in a portable charger.
