It’s been a filthy month: crumbly laptop screens and keyboards, dust festivals on monitors, squinting at dirty smartphone screens. I was cleaning a MacPro screen when my client excitedly asked “What are you using!?!” Dirty device? Whoosh to the rescue.
Whoosh to the rescue
I first found this product in 2018 and it is still my go to for cleaning devices (no, I don’t own Whoosh stock, no I’m not getting remuneration for writing another review). This Canadian company has taken off, it’s what the Apple store employees use and they do commercial sales now.
Since they started they have developed the right size bottles for most offices and users. Big bottle for large offices, medium size bottle for smaller offices (the size I usually keep in my bag) and even purse size cleaner bottles.
Where Whoosh really shines is cleaning dirty phones and high use tablets. Whoosh protects from future smudges and gets rid of germs.

The safe way to clean
I want to address the big concern of how to safely clean your screens. Spray Whoosh onto a microfiber cloth. Never directly spray the device as you don’t want to get the liquid inside. Gently wipe the screen. Don’t press on the screen.
With a laptop and any touchscreen I recommend you turn off the device. Much easier to see all crud and you’re less likely to activate something by accident (just be careful around the power button).
Most monitor damage from cleaners I see is by using the wrong type of product or pressing too hard on the screen when cleaning.
When you’re cleaning your phone, take it carefully out of the case to clean.
Where to get Whooshed
Two easy ways to get Whooshed. Staples carries most of their products. See screenshot below for pricing and some of the options.

Of course you can buy directly from the Whoosh web site where they have more product options.
Dirty device?
After I told my MacPro client what I was using to clean her screen, her next question was “Does it work on glasses?”. Yes, it works on glasses too.
