QR code

Invented in 1994 in Japan, QR codes provide an easy way of sharing URLs, product information, parts tracking, the list is endless.

Instead of typing in a long web site address, for example https://makeitworkcomputersolutions.ca, one could use a QR code.

Hackers love them too. While most people are now cautious about clicking on links in emails, people frequently click on QR codes from their mobile phones without asking basic cyber security questions such as:

Do I trust the person who sent this code?

Does this person normally send QR codes?

Do I have enough protection on my phone in case this is a bad QR code?
