Last year, after hearing how great it was for so long, a friend of mine upgraded from Boyfriend 3.0 to Husband 1.0.
She has found Husband 1.0 to be a resource hog leaving very little space for other applications. Husband 1.0 also spawns Child-Subroutines which further consume valuable system resources.
Their iHabits aren’t compatible and communications have suffered.
Husband 1.0’s processor hogs entertainment and pub night threads leaving Wife 1.0 to process all the housework and childcare threads.
At installation my friend found Husband 1.0 provides no option to bypass the installation of undesired add-ons like bigoted relatives who send infected links on Facebook.
My friend also discovered that every May and June Husband 1.0 suffers from CPU overheating and then PPD (Post Playoff Dysfunction).
At first she thought Husband 1.0 might be infected with a virus but other users on Reddit have assured her that Husband 1.0 behaves normally.
She has been warned Husband 1.0 might soon suffer from MLC (Mid Life Crisis) and start trying to install Sportscar 2.0 on top of Family Car 1.0 and even try to run their network card in promiscuous mode.
Some features she would like to see introduced in the upcoming Husband 2.0 release:
- Self laundering
- Minimize button
- Artificial intelligence.
Another friend has decided to opt for keeping Boyfriend 3.0 and adding Girlfriend 1.0 to the house because she needs more cache.
However, both Boyfriend 3.0 and Girlfriend 1.0 fight over shared use of the I/O ports. Your think they would have fixed such a stupid bug by now.
Boyfriend 3.0 keeps popping up messages about the advantages of upgrading to marriage 1.0.
Girlfriend 1.0 hasn’t completely uninstalled her Love 1.0 which causes resource conflicts.
Humour Alert
The other day I was helping a client with two pieces of software that were fighting for resources. I remembered a very old and very sexist tech joke about Wife 1.0 and Girlfriend 3.0 software fighting. Decided to update the old joke while on endless hold with a vendor.
