Apple Bytes
Apple released a new low end laptop and it debuted with a security update on it’s first day! The Apple Neo laptop powered with with same CPU as the iPhone 17 and a low 8GB of RAM (I really recommend a minimum of 16GB of RAM) launched March 10th.
Apple released updates for older devices running iOS 16.7 and iPadOS 16.7 on March 11th.
Apple updated iOS 26 on March 4th as well as macOS Tahoe.
More details on the Apple security updates this March here. Expect iOS 26.4 with new icons at the end of the month.
Don’t get a rotten Apple, bake in a little update time for your devices.

Adobe Acrobat and Reader Updates
Adobe released security updates for Acrobat, Acrobat Reader, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, etc. on March 10th.
As many organization use Adobe for PDFs, it’s important to run those updates. To check for updates open Adobe Reader or Acrobat, go to Help and then Check for updates.

WordPress Updates
Checked your web site for updates recently? Usually every month there’s security and patch updates for plugins.
This month WordPress 6.9.4 released. Any time there is a major WordPress update, there’s usually a ton of plugin updates.
Be sure to back up your web site before doing major updates.

Microsoft Hot Patches
Microsoft patched 77 vulnerabilities this Patch Tuesday. Highlights include fixing a document preview hack. Literally you need only view the document preview in file explorer to activate this hack. More details from Krebs On Security.
Microsoft also announced hot patching for Windows 11 Enterprise version starting in a few months. Hot patching means installing patches without rebooting or closing important software. Microsoft already does with M365 software and it causes problems like apps getting unresponsive and flaky. Again this is only with the expensive Windows 11 Enterprise version.
Patch Tuesday March 2026
An ounce of patching is cheaper than a pound of hacking. Schedule some time to update your devices this month.
